THE WHAT, WHEN, AND HOW OF GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR WSMA MEMBERSHIP:

The following represent a part of the ongoing WSMA activities. Some have time frames and deadlines, which need to be considered. In the list below, those items preceded by a star (*) have a specific cutoff time frame for submitting information. Application forms are available from any WSMA Officer or Director. You also can print one from the WSMA website and send it in.

WSMA Newsletter: Part of the regular membership benefits which comes to your address of record approximately 4 times a year. Keep your dues current and your mailing address correct to assure you receive your newsletter.

WSMA Annual Events Calendar: Compiled and distributed to all members of record on or about March 1st. Available to non-members for $2 a copy. If you are a club officer or Booshway, your input on coming events is needed in January each year so it can be included in the calendar.

WSMA and the WDFW: Represents the muzzleloader hunter on a statewide basis. Participates and is involved with Washinton Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) committees to ensure muzzleloader hunter input and provide future muzzleloader hunting opportunities in Washington

(*) WSMA Joe Meek Award: Based on Rendezvous results submitted by a WSMA member. A top Mountain man selected and honored at the annual WSMA Banquet. Submit compiled scores by December 1st.

WSMA Top Rendezvous Award: Based on balloting at the Cascade Mt Man show in March and presented at the WSMA Banquet. Events eligible for recognition must have been held by an Organization holding a Club membership in WSMA. Ensure that your club is a member and supply attendance figures after the event each year.

WSMA Pilgrim Award: Recognizes the first time Muzzleloader shooter(s) at Rendezvous events. Available by request to the WSMA Events Booshway. Five medals furnished each year, at no cost upon request from member club. Additional medals are available at cost (about $2.50).

(*) WSMA Youth Activity Incentive Grants: Based on applications received each year prior to year's end. Amount based on available funds and established need and worthiness of the program. Open to member clubs as well as other youth organizations desiring to facilitate primitive/muzzleloading shooting programs. Applications to reach WSMA Executive Committee by December 1st. Late applications will be considered based on availability of funds but 1st priority to applications received by deadline.

(*) WSMA Sanctioned Event Medals: WSMA gold, silver, and bronze medals available for specific, dedicated events submitted to Events Booshway by December 1st, and approved by the Executive Committee. Up to 24 medals provided at no cost to Member Organizations based on submitted programs. Additional medals available at cost

All WSMA members are encouraged to take advantage of all these membership benefits. WSMA is their key to more fun and enjoyment in the great sport of muzzleloading.
