WSMA
Youth Activity Incentive Grants: Based on applications
received each year prior to year's end. Amount based on available
funds and established need and worthiness of the program. Open to
member clubs as well as other youth organizations desiring to facilitate
primitive/muzzleloading shooting programs. Applications
to reach WSMA Executive Committee by December 1 of the year prior to the program. Late applications
will be considered based on availability of funds but 1st priority
to applications

Sanctioned
shooting events
- WSMA provides metals for sanctioned muzzleloader shooting events
each year. These events include a silhouette match for rifle, pistol,
and trade guns, a shotgun shoot including black powder cartridge,
caplock, and flintlock; trade gun shoot with categories for trade
guns without a rear site and with a rear site; formal rifle shoot,
and primitive aggregate including rifle, pistol, trade gun, and
tomahawk and knife. Most of these events have categories for men,
women, seniors, and juniors. Some also include special categories
for pee wees and a hunters class where inlines are allowed. WSMA
provides up to 24 medals at no cost to member organizations based
on submitted events. To apply for event sanction and medals, complete

Women's
Primitive Skills Event - WSMA helps promote this yearly
event. The Women's Primitive Skills Event started in 2000. This
women only event helps to keep primitive skills alive by offering
seminars in various primitive skills such as weaving, beading, leather
working, muzzleloader shooting, flint and steel firestarting, and
others.
